Celtic V Hamilton at Celtic Park : Match Preview

Celtic V Hamilton - view commentary, squad, and statistics of the game live.Celtic boss Ronny Deila explains Anthony Stokes suspensionCeltic manager Ronny Deila has revealed striker Anthony Stokes was suspended for a number of incidents - not just his Twitter outburst.Stokes was given a two-week suspension by the club after venting his frustration at being omitted from the squad to face Inverness on Sunday after travelling to the Highlands. The Irishman later apologised for his sarcastic comment: "Buzzing to be brought all the way up to inverness with the team to sit in the stands today, lovely weather for it too."But it proved a tipping point for Deila, who disciplined the player last season after he returned late from a trip to Ireland.Stokes also faces trial next year for an alleged assault on an Elvis impersonator in Dublin, an incident which preceded Deila's reign."I think everybody understands it's not about that single incident," the Norwegian said ahead of the visit of Hamilton. "There have been some issues in the past and now we felt we had to put down a marker."I think that's going to be good in the end for us and Anthony as well. After 14 days he will come back and hopefully we can keep him working."I wouldn't go into the different issues, that's between me and him and the club."With Stokes missing, Deila also has midfielder Charlie Mulgrew and captain Scott Brown out with thigh and knee injuries respectively but Kris Commons could return for the Ladbrokes Premiership leaders.Fifth-placed Hamilton are likely to be unchanged and midfielder Gramoz Kurtaj claims they can take advantage of a declining Celtic side who are still reeling from their European exit.Celtic bounced back from their defeat by Ajax, their third consecutive Europa League loss, by winning 3-1 at Inverness last Sunday. But Kurtaj feels they will struggle to lift themselves for the visit of his team to Parkhead.Kurtaj, who scored the opener in Hamilton's 2-1 home defeat by Celtic in October, said: "I don't think the quality of Celtic this year is the quality of Celtic in the last few years. They are definitely a good team but you could see when they came to New Douglas Park they struggled and we definitely have the chance to win."They were disappointed not to win against Ajax and they lost in the Europa League so I think this is still in their heads and it's probably difficult for them to get motivated to play against Hamilton."We are definitely motivated to win this match or get a positive result. This is probably our biggest chance to win there."
