Blackburn Rovers v Everton Follow every kick as Blackburn Rovers take on Everton at Ewood Park in the Premier League on 17-Apr-2010, kick off time 15:00 Blackburn Rovers v Everton Live As they continue to look for a spot in next season's Europa League, Everton face the difficult challenge of defeating a Blackburn Rovers side who have kept three consecutive clean sheets at Ewood Park in the league, most recently against Manchester United. Though they are four points behind rivals Villa in the race for fourth, Toffees' manager David Moyes is determined that his side will not give up their chase for European action, saying: "Europe is worth fighting for. I think it is important for our football club to be there. "There might be some managers who might think 'miss out on it because it will give you a better chance in the League'. At the moment that isn't my thought. "My thought is to make Europe because I think our football club can carry it. I really do. If anyone doesn't want it, I'll take their place." Despite Everton's only having been defeated twice in their last 20 league games, the problem for the Scot in the battle for seventh has been an inability to hold on to leads recently, after going ahead twice in their last two matches against both Aston Villa and West Ham but drawing both 2-2. For their part Blackburn will prove tough opponents to break down, given that only two Premier League teams (Chelsea and Manchester City) have been defeated on fewer occasions on their own turf this season than Sam Allardyce's side. To compound Everton's difficulties, they have failed to find their feet at Ewood Park of late, drawing four of their last five league games there - three of them 0-0. One positive for Moyes is that he may be able to count on the return of Mikel Arteta (groin) from injury, a player who has been crucial in the Toffees' return to form of late, winning six of the nine league games in which he has featured. Dan Gosling (knee) and Marouane Fellaini (ankle) remain sidelined. Blackburn have few significant injury worries and Yildiray Basturk may be given a chance to shine following his recovery from a hamstring injury. Danish defender Lars Jacobsen is also likely to be back in contention.
