Shaun MacDonald called up to Wales squad

Bournemouth midfielder Shaun MacDonald has been called into the Wales squad for Friday's friendly with Holland. MacDonald replaces David Cotterill, who missed Birmingham's 5-2 Sky Bet Championship victory at Fulham on Saturday with a knee injury and is expected to be sidelined for two or three weeks. The Football Association of Wales confirmed the news on their Twitter account, saying: " #WALvNET SQUAD UPDATE: @afcbournemouth's @ShaunMac20 is called into the Wales squad to replace David Cotterill." Wales manager Chris Coleman is already without Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey, Hal-Robson Kanu and Jazz Richards at the Cardiff City Stadium. The Holland friendly marks the start of Wales' Euro 2016 build-up after qualification for next summer's finals in France was achieved last month.
