Hibs striker Anthony Stokes nominated for PFA Young Player of the Year Award

Republic of Ireland hitman shortlisted Hibs striker Anthony Stokes has today been nominated for the Scottish PFA Young Player of the Year Award. The 21-year-old has had a fantastic first year in a Hibs shirt, since signing from Sunderland in a £500,000 deal during the summer. He has currently hit 19 goals for the Hibees, and just recently earned a recall in to the Republic of Ireland squad for the game against Brazil. The other players nominated for the award are: David Goodwillie (Dundee United) Leigh Griffiths (Dundee) Danny Wilson (Rangers) A thoroughly deserved nomination for the former Falkirk and Arsenal forward.
