Saddlers complete move for Shroot

The 20-year-old winger arrived at St Andrew's back in the January transfer window having been touted as one of the most promising prospects around in non-league football. He got a taste of first-team football almost immediately, starting Blues' FA Cup third-round defeat to Wolves, but a move across the midlands to the Banks's Stadium will give him a chance to gain regular match practice. For Walsall, the Northern Ireland under-21 international will provide a timely boost to their hopes of a play-off place and he could make his debut at Southend on Saturday."We are delighted to have Robin on board," said Saddlers boss Chris Hutchings. "He is a player that was mentioned to me when he was at Harrow where he shown a lot of promise. The opportunity arose to take him on loan and we are grateful to Alex McLeish for allowing him to come here."He can play on both sides of the pitch so he will give us a few options. The team are improving but it is important to enhance the squad even when we are doing reasonably well."
