Megson keen to bounce back

Gary Megson has urged his Bolton players to respond in the right manner to the defeat at Stoke. Bolton turned in a poor performance at the Britannia Stadium on Wednesday as they lost 2-0, with James Beattie and Ricardo Fuller finding the target for the Potters.Having already been knocked out of the FA Cup, Bolton will not play again until they entertain Fulham in the Premier League next Saturday.Megson admits he would rather have a game this weekend but he is confident the Trotters will bounce back with an improved display when their ten-day break comes to an end.He told the club's official website: "I think when you've just lost a game and then you've got quite a long break in between then it's difficult because you want to get out there and try and put it right. "But I know we'll try and do the right thing in terms of physically and mentally. Hopefully the ten-day break will give us a chance to put this game to bed."ImpactBolton are currently 11th in the table with 10 matches remaining but Megson believes there is still everything to play for.Just six points separate Bolton from third-bottom Blackburn, while a run of good results could put them in contention for a European spot. Megson added: "Like everybody, our current games are going to have a big impact on what happens to us this season. I don't think you could find a team in the Premier League where that is not the case."I know that if we perform as we have done in the last two home games we'll be fine."
