Novo: Leaving Gers would be tough

Rangers striker Nacho Novo admits leaving the club would be a huge wrench if his spell at Ibrox comes to an end this summer. The Spanish striker is out of contract at the end of the season and does not yet know if he has a future with the Glasgow giants.Novo has spent almost six years at Rangers and has revealed how tough he would find it to part company with the club."If I need to move, it will be hard," he said."This club is like my family. I've made very good friends here and the fans are just the best fans in the world."They have been terrific with me through the good and bad times."I would miss coming through the tunnel and on to the park and seeing that stadium full of fans."That's one of the biggest things I would miss."Novo says he is happy for his representative to deal with any contract issues while he focuses on helping Rangers retain the Scottish Premier League title."At the moment, there is nothing happening," he added."My agent will do everything, I don't want to know what is happening."I just want to concentrate on playing and trying to win the league. My job is to play, go on the park and perform."His job is to do the other side, the contracts and whatever."When something happens, he will let me know."Rangers hope to take another step closer to a second successive championship when they play host to Aberdeen tomorrow night. But Novo admits a big improvement is needed in the wake of defeat to St Johnstone last midweek and an unconvincing narrow win against Hamilton at the weekend."It's close to the finish, it's nearly there," he said."But there is a long way to go as well because nothing is finished yet."We need to start raising our game, starting tomorrow, and we need to win our games."It's got nothing to do with energy levels, it's more to do with the mentality."Everybody is looking good and looking forward to the game tomorrow."
