Altidore settling in to Hull life

Hull striker Jozy Altidore feels he has now got to grips with the demands of the Premier League and is determined to finish the season well. The American, who has scored just twice this season, admits he took time to settle after joining the club on a one-year loan from Villarreal last summer. The 20-year-old impressed in his first start under new manager Iain Dowie in last weekend's vital win over Fulham and he now hopes to play a key role in the Tigers' survival battle.Altidore told the club's website: "I think I'm just getting more comfortable within the team. What people maybe didn't understand was that the style of play I was accustomed to was the complete opposite to what we have here. I'm not saying that it's better here or better where I was, it's just completely different."I think you adapt because you are forced to adapt. I'm comfortable with it now and I understand what is needed from me."But it's not really about individuals. The whole project at a club like this is to form a foundation and that's what we're trying to do. It's not easy, but our job is to keep the team up."
