Moyes frustrated by Molineux draw

Everton boss David Moyes could not hide his frustration after seeing his side miss a number of chances in a 0-0 draw at Wolves on Saturday. The Toffees had chances early and late in the game that would have lifted them level with Aston Villa and Liverpool in the Premier League.Yet Wolves enjoyed plenty of possession, had a few opportunities themselves and merited a point from a feisty encounter.Moyes said: "We missed an opportunity to get another two points but it was another clean sheet and I don't think we played badly."We created a lot of opportunities but didn't finish them off."We had two or three good opportunities in the first 10 minutes and I thought overall we were the most likely to get a goal."Certainly defensively we did a good job. Kevin Doyle was in good form and we kept him really quiet."I expected a scrap but overall I thought we defended well and limited Wolves to very few, or no, opportunities and created quite a lot ourselves."The result was a disappointment for Everton after an impressive midweek win at Manchester City but they have still lost just two of their last 18 games. With six matches remaining they are still firmly in contention for place in the Europa League.Moyes added: "We are just going to try to go to the next game and see where it goes."I though we played well enough to get a result and, after the game in midweek, we have taken four points from two the games."That is a decent haul so I can't be too disappointed about that."Wolves still have work to do to secure their Premier League status but, with 32 points from as many games, they are inching closer to survival.Hull's victory means they are now just five points above the relegation zone but manager Mick McCarthy was happy to take a draw.McCarthy said: "I'm delighted with a point, I'd have taken that before we started."They are as good as anything that has been here."There was more chance of it being none than three, so I'll take my point. I'm absolutely thrilled with it."Louis Saha hit the bar for Everton while Leon Osman failed to make the most of three good early chances. Two of them were dealt with by Wolves goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann, who was in the right place to frustrate the visitors throughout.McCarthy said: "He was terrific, he has been since getting into the side."But they have all had to work hard. It has been workmanlike, full of desire, effort and honesty."While we have that we will always have a chance."We have our moments of quality and we will certainly battle it out with everybody."Everton midfielder Dan Gosling will have a scan on his knee after a collision with Hahnemann late in the game.
