Kuyt flying high after Reds' Euro romp

Dirk Kuyt is feeling optimistic ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash against Fulham following the Europa League victory over Benfica. Kuyt opened the scoring as the Reds overturned a first-leg deficit to progress to the last four 5-3 on aggregate after a 4-1 win at Anfield.Lucas was also on target and Fernando Torres struck twice as the hosts produced a fine attacking performance at Anfield.Kuyt said: "Almost every goal was from a very high quality."And also the first goal of Fernando was an absolutely great goal - I think one of the best goals this season."After a corner against us, a great counter-attack and a good pass from Yossi (Benayoun) and me and I could give the ball to Fernando and he finished it off as he does always."It was almost the same feeling as if I'd scored a goal myself. I just get such a good feeling if we play like we did."I think the team had a great performance and you can see that if we play as a team and we work as a team, we are a very good team and a tough side to beat."There was confusion after Kuyt headed the opener from a corner in the 27th minute as the goal appeared to initially have been disallowed.A flag was raised on the far side - apparently for offside - but the referee and assistant behind the goal agreed the goal should stand.Players cannot be offside from a corner but Kuyt said the debate was over whether the ball touched another Liverpool player before it reached him.The 29-year-old said: "The linesman thought a Liverpool player touched the ball before I touched the ball, so he gave offside but that wasn't the case."It was a misunderstanding but I think it was strong of the referee to reconsider the situation."Liverpool will now hope to carry the momentum from a pulsating night forward to Sunday's Premier League clash against Fulham.Kuyt accepts they will need to win all five of their remaining games to have any chance of qualifying for the Champions League.Liverpool are sixth, four points adrift of the crucial fourth spot having played a game more than current incumbents Manchester City.He said: "That's the case from now on, and also from last week."We need to win every game now to hopefully be fourth. It's not in our hands, but all we can do is win our games."
