Fernando TorresLIVERPOOL are sweating over the fitness of Fernando Torres.Early tests on his problematic knee in Barcelona yesterday proved inconclusive.The striker will remain in Spain for the next few days where he will receive further treatment from specialist Ramon Cugat.Only then will the club find out the full extent of his injury and what impact it will have on the run-in to the campaign.A brief statement released by Liverpool last night said: 'Fernando Torres was examined by a knee specialist this afternoon in Spain.'He received treatment and will continue to do so over the next few days, with the injury being reassessed later this week.'Torres missed Sunday's goalless draw with Fulham that has cast huge doubt over Liverpool's credentials to claim the fourth and final Champions League place.Despite creating a host of chances the Reds struggled to find the back of the net without their top scorer.Manager Rafa Benitez will be eager for news on his star striker.Liverpool face West Ham in the Premier League next Monday, three days before the first leg of the Europa League semi-final against Torres' former club Atletico Madrid in the Spanish capital.
