King unfazed by deal delay

edley King insists sorting out a contract extension at Tottenham is not a priority at present. The Spurs skipper's current deal is set to expire at the end of next season, but no negotiations have taken place as yet to prolong that agreement.Harry Redknapp has urged the White Hart Lane hierarchy to 'look after' the England international once his contract runs out, with the 28-year-old having suffered terribly with injuries in recent years. However, with the club currently battling for their Premier League lives, King insists there are more pressing issues at hand than resolving his future."I'm not worried," he said. "To be honest I am just thinking about playing for the rest of the season and playing as many games as I can. That (the contract) will take care of itself."King is incapable of playing two games in quick succession nowadays, with a persistent knee problem having left his joints in tatters. That means he is likely to sit out Wednesday's clash with Middlesbrough after pushing his aching limbs through 120 minutes of action in the Carling Cup final on Sunday.
