Dale boss: We must keep pushing

Dale moved into second place in League Two courtesy of two early goals from Adam Rundle and Adam Le Fondre at Spotland on Saturday. However, the real talking point came when former Blackburn team-mates Hill and Mike Newell, who is now Mariners boss, clashed over the second goal, which the latter believed was clearly offside. "We fully deserve to be in second place after 33 games but it's not about that, it's about where you deserve to be after 46 games," said Hill. "I'm very pleased with our current position, our form and our current points tally. We have 58 points and that's a decent total for this stage but it's not the end product and we have got to keep going. "We have to make sure that we turn this great foundation into ultimate success, and to do that we will have to win something like seven or eight games. "We don't always get the respect from other managers or the media. I saw the Football League show this week and they were more or less saying we beat Darlington on Tuesday because they are going into administration. It's disrespectful to suggest that, especially when you look at the quality of the two goals we scored up there."
