Jefferies: Gibson will be dealt with

The Killie midfielder, who had came on as a half-time substitute for Mehdi Taouil, stormed up the tunnel and threw his shirt away after being replaced by Danny Invincibile as the game drew to a close.Jefferies said the club would deal with the matter internally."They told me he threw his shirt away and you don't do that," he said."The reason he was taken off was simple. We were under pressure with a lot of corners coming in so we sacrificed him to get Danny on."If he looks at that differently then that is his concern. My concern is for the team and the result."That's petulance from him and we will deal with that internally."The Killie boss thought his side were unlucky not to be awarded a first-half penalty when Craig Bryson fell in the box under pressure from Jamie Langfield. The midfielder was booked for diving but Jefferies felt that was harsh on his player. He added: "I will reserve judgement on it until I see it again but I thought with the distance the referee was from the incident he couldn't have had much of a view of it."But Jimmy Calderwood thought it was a penalty because I saw him breathe a huge sigh of relief when it wasn't given."That is the breaks that go against you when things aren't going your way."Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood bemoaned the state of the surface following the dull encounter. The recent wintry weather has taken its toll on the Pittodrie pitch which did little to help the game as a spectacle.Calderwood said: "Without wanting to make excuses I don't think the pitch was conducive to good football and it is difficult to inject any pace into your play on it against a team that is probably more defensive than attack-minded."I don't think we are playing that bad but our pitch isn't helping us. Jim Jefferies said Ruby Park is exactly the same."We have had the undersoil heating on so that games go ahead but that has really affected the grass."The Dons boss admitted the one positive he can take from the game was seeing Jamie Smith make his comeback after having missed the majority of the season so far with calf and hamstring injuries. He added: "In an ideal world we would have been winning two or three nil before we brought him on but that never looked like happening today."When it was 0-0 with 15 minutes to go I was a bit wary but Jamie was very positive and to be honest I thought there were flashes of Jamie of old when he came on. He was brilliant and gave us something extra."
