Sibierski seeks opportunities

Wigan striker Antoine Sibierski believes he has proved that he still has what it takes to play in the Premier League. The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season and is not expected to be offered a new deal at the JJB Stadium. But Sibierski - who spent part of the current campaign on loan at Championship strugglers Norwich - believes he still has something to offer in the top flight. The former Manchester City player made a 15-minute substitute appearance in last Saturday's goalless draw with Middlesbrough at The Riverside and is keen for more of the same.Injury problemsSibierski, who could play a part at Chelsea this weekend in view of Wigan's mounting injury problems, told the Manchester Evening News: "From a personal point of view, I thought I did well against Boro."I got about 20 minutes, I didn't give the ball away and being out there again in the Premier League gave me confidence."We have a few injuries at the moment and it was because of them I probably got back into the squad for the Boro game."I always believe, if I got given a chance again, I could play a part."I enjoy being back. I got the ball at my feet and tried to play some good football."
