Carling Cup specialist Pavlyuchenko eyes final fling for Tottenham

One to go: Pavlyuchenko will make history if he scores in Sunday's showdown at Wembley Roman Pavlyuchenko hopes to become the first Tottenham player to score in every round of the Carling Cup when Spurs meet Manchester Unitedat Wembley on Sunday.   The Russia striker has scored in all five previous ties this season and Pavlyuchenko admitted that making history excites him.   'It's something that I am thinking about,' he said. 'But my only priority is that we play well and win. If I score goals too then this can only be a good thing. 'I don't approach cup games any differently to league matches but in the Carling Cup things seem to have fallen into place. 'Our Carling Cup run this year has given us something to cling to and everyone is so determined to go all the way now. 'We owe a lot to the supporters who have stood by us through some difficult times. To repay them by winning the trophy would be a great thing.'After a slow start to his career in England, Pavlyuchenko's form has improved and he is on target to reach his season target of 15 goals.   He said: 'It took me a while to adapt my game from the Russian style.
