Dawson set for cup final woe

Harry Redknapp has hinted that Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson is again set to miss out on a Carling Cup final appearance. Dawson sat out last year's 2-1 win over Chelsea due to injury and recently admitted being forced to watch from the Wembley stands 12 months ago was his 'biggest downer'.However, the centre-half is in line for more cup final heartache with Redknapp set to partner Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King against Manchester United on Sunday.Though Dawson has started four of Spurs' five games in this season's competition, he is likely to be on the bench for the game, live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1.Spurs boss Redknapp has praised Dawson, but concedes he will be unable to leave King out, providing the club captain is fit.Great job"Dawson has been fantastic for me and done a great job," said Redknapp."But when Ledley plays we seem to win. He played at Manchester City when we won, he played at West Ham when we won and at Hull when we won."You just wish you could get Ledley on the pitch more because when he plays he has a presence about him."Ledley's a very important player to us, so we'll have to see how he is for Sunday."
