The Lilywhites defender, a 46th-minute substitute at St Mary's, revealed manager Alan Irvine delivered a half-time rollicking to his under-performing players, but despite an improved showing in the second period the damage had already been done.Mawene said: "We lacked desire and passion and if you do not have that in the Championship you are going to get done."There were strong words in the dressing room at half-time, but we started too far behind and it is almost impossible coming back from three down."
