Solskjaer revealed tthat he was asked to succeed Aage Hareide, who resigned after eight matches without a win. But Solskjaer chose to remain on Sir Alex Ferguson's coaching staff at Old Trafford, where he is currently the reserve team manager. He said: 'I did not think it was the right time for me to say yes to the offer. But of course it was nice to be asked. I work for Manchester United and my career is going in the right direction.
