Beattie boosts Blades' firepower as Blackwell lands West Brom striker

Sheffield United have secured the services of West Bromstriker Craig Beattie on loan until the end of the season.   The 25-year-old has already spent time on loan at Blades' Coca-Cola Championship rivals Crystal Palace this season - scoring five goals in 15 league appearances for the Eagles.   However, Beattie was recalled by Baggies boss Tony Mowbray in mid-December and made the scoresheet in the 2-0 victory over Tottenham at the end of last year.  Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell told the club's official website: 'Craig is a Scotland international and a player with a proven track record at this level.   'He gives us much-needed reinforcement for the run-in.'
