Rovers wrap up Shiels switch

Shiels finalised personal terms and passed a medical at the Keepmoat Stadium on Monday.Shiels, 24, moves to South Yorkshire from the SPL side, with whom he has made over 100 appearances and scored 24 goals.Shiels took a break from football in 2006 after receiving surgery to remove his right eye, which had been blind since a domestic accident when he was seven years-old. However he returned to first-team action with Hibs later in the same year."I'm delighted with the move. I had four-and-a-half years with Hibernian and this was an exciting challenge. I can't wait to get started," Shiels told the club's official website."The style of football was on of the things that attracted me to Doncaster and the chance to work with Sean O'Driscoll was another one."I know the Club is ambitious and I think it was a perfect choice for me."
