Harry Redknapp just joined Twitter

Welcome to the Twittersphere, Harry Redknapp. Let's see what this is all about then. — Harry Redknapp (@Redknapp) June 8, 2015 The former QPR and Tottenham boss and confirmed technophobe made his first foray into the social media whirl this morning with the Twitter handle @Redknapp. The man doesn’t need a first name. Naturally the inevitable #bantz was not far behind. @Redknapp top top top twitter account. — Colin Millar (@Millar_Colin) June 8, 2015 Harry @Redknapp hurriedly goes to change his Twitter password as hundreds of football fans guess at "rosie47". — Ed (@MrEdsFM) June 8, 2015 How's the knee @Redknapp? — Bootifulgame (@bootifulgame) June 8, 2015 @Redknapp Sure it's not Rosie tweeting for you? — Jess Cohen (@jesscohen1) June 8, 2015 There's still no chance Redknapp knows what Twitter is. His social media consultants have given themselves away with correct apostrophe use. — Ed Malyon (@eaamalyon) June 8, 2015 Undeterred, Redknapp followed up with some japes of his own. That West Ham fan was right, Frank Lampard was no good as a player after all. — Harry Redknapp (@Redknapp) June 8, 2015 If that seems a little obscure, it’s a reference to this… And there was only one way to sum that tweet up. @Redknapp #banter — Alex McMahon. (@almacca93) June 8, 2015 Among the first people Redknapp followed were Tottenham players Kyle Walker, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane, as well as Manchester United’s Ashley Cole and Michael Carrick. Four months on from his Loftus Road departure, there was no sign of any QPR players. (Sean Dempsey/PA) It’s quite a turnaround from Redknapp, who in 2012 told police he did not know how to work a computer and had never sent a text message. When his finances were under investigation in 2012, Redknapp told City of London police: “I can’t work a computer, I don’t know what an email is, I can’t, I have never sent a fax and I’ve never even sent a text message.” Perhaps he’s had some help from those Barclays Digital Eagles.
