The Shrimps were put under embargo at the start of the year after they spent more than 60% of their turnover on player wages.But after the recent sale of their Christie Park ground to Sainsbury's, the club have been allowed to venture back into the transfer market,Vice-chairman Graham Hodgson said: "We have been in discussion with the Football League for a few weeks about lifting the embargo but it has taken a while because a number of considerations had to be taken into account."We have now heard that the embargo has been lifted and we are delighted."We have liaised with manager Sammy McIlroy on a daily basis and he has been working hard on identifying a midfield player to come in on loan which hopefully we can now finalise."
