Keeper Thompson leaves Daggers
The form of fellow stopper Tony Roberts has limited Thompson to just three league starts since joining from Wingate and Finchley in August 2007.Thompson is eager to gain more regular match action and felt it was the right time to move on.He told the club's official website: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club and have learnt so much working with Tony but I feel the time is right to move on and establish myself as a first-choice goalkeeper at a club, even if it means taking a step down the ladder.Manager John Still added: "I'm sorry to see Ed leave but I fully understand his reasons."He was a good professional during his time with me and I wish him every success in the future."
