Mike Dean has been given the job of controlling the Old Trafford showdown, 17 months after he was subjected to a blast from Ferguson. The Manchester United manager was unhappy Dean did not send off Hull defender Andy Turner for a foul on Michael Carrick during United's 4-3 win at Old Trafford in November 2008. Liverpools Rafael Benitez lets Alex Ferguson get under his skinFerguson later admitted a charge of improper conduct in relation to his behaviour towards Dean. But Chelsea will also be aware; the official sent off Chelsea's Juliano Belletti and Michael Ballack when he took charge of Chelsea's 4-2 Premier League defeat at home to Manchester City a month ago. Dean has also awarded 16 penalties this season, more than any other referee in the Premier League, and ordered Chelsea's Frank Lampard to take a spot kick three times during the 1-1 draw at West Ham.
