Imps weigh up under-soil heating

The Imps' match against Darlington on Saturday was called off by referee Gavin Ward just over an hour before kick-off following a pitch inspection which revealed frozen ground in the shadow of the South Park stand.Wright suggested alternative methods would be considered but admitted the installation of a heating system would be ideal. He told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "The perfect solution would be under-soil heating at that end of the ground."What the cost would be, I don't know. It's something we'd have to look into.""We're going to look at how we can be absolutely certain that, on an occasion when the ground's frozen at the start of the day, we can get to a position where no referee could decide that it wasn't playable."
