Howe picked for Cherries role

Howe had taken temporary charge of the struggling Cherries following Quinn's exit on New Year's Eve.The 31-year-old becomes the youngest manager in the Football League and faces the tough task of keeping the south coast club in League Two - they began this season on minus 17 points and currently sit second from bottom.Howe, who was previously the Cherries' Centre of Excellence manager, has lost both games he has overseen since being appointed caretaker manager.He told BBC Radio Solent: "It's going to be a huge challenge but I think it's a task we can succeed in. I'm looking forward to it, and we need results quickly."Director Adam Murry told the Bournemouth Echo: "We are satisfied that Eddie is the right man to take the team forward because we have seen an improvement since he came in. We want the players to get behind Eddie and we are backing him 100% and have full confidence in him."
