Brentford accept charge from FA

The 1-1 draw was marred by a late melee which saw Brentford striker Nathan Elder sent off and Gills centre-back Garry Richards subsequently hit with a three-match ban following allegations of a headbutt.A club statement read: "We have been charged by the FA of failing to control our players at Gillingham in December, the match in which Nathan Elder received a red card."However, football is an emotional game and whilst not condoning what could be construed as a lack of control we do hold our hands up to the charge to what was a very rare occurrence by a Brentford team."Gillingham have denied the same charge.
