McIntyre hands Shrews a boost

The midfielder looked unlikely to figure again this season having suffered a double fracture of the right fibula during Saturday's 1-1 draw against Port Vale.But after an appointment with a specialist it has emerged that the extent of the injury is not as bad as first feared.Simpson told the club's official website: "Kevin has seen the specialist and it's good news for him and us as he said that he could be back within six weeks."It's a big boost for us and it gives him a goal to aim for as the original fear was that he may have needed an operation."Kevin has been a big part of the squad so far this season and let's hope he is back playing very shortly."
