7 transfers which could very well happen this summer

The transfer window does not officially open for another month, but that’s not going to stop us predicting who’s going to move where when it finally does… 1. Paul Pogba Juventus to Manchester City (Adam Davy/EMPICS) The former Manchester United trainee is currently Europe’s number one hot property and, as a result, comes with a price tag to match. Only the likes of City, and possibly a couple of others, are able to meet the reported £60million asking price. 2. David de Gea Manchester United to Real Madrid (Martin Rickett/PA) The Spain goalkeeper is entering the final year of his contract and has long been linked with a return to the city of his birth as he is seen as the rightful heir to Iker Casillas and it is likely to be the only club he would leave Old Trafford for. 3. Radamel Falcao Monaco to Chelsea (Martin Rickett/PA) Despite a dismal and expensive loan spell at United, the Colombia international is still highly regarded in many quarters and Chelsea are in need of reinforcements up front following the departure of Didier Drogba. 4. Angel Di Maria Manchester United to Bayern Munich (Martin Rickett/PA) The Argentina international had a mixed first season at Old Trafford, embarking on a downward spiral in the second half of the campaign amid growing rumours of his unhappiness in England. Bayern are looking for long-term replacements for Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben. 5. Morgan Schneiderlin Southampton to Arsenal (Andrew Matthews/PA) The Frenchman’s dominant midfield presence would appear to be the missing link for the Gunners, who have been lacking in that department for years. They face competition from Manchester United, however, who are looking to upgrade their midfield. 6. Christian Benteke Aston Villa to Liverpool (Tim Ireland/AP) The Belgium striker has a reported £32.5million buy-out clause, which would put Liverpool in Andy Carroll territory again. The Reds need a consistent threat up front but would have to blow much of their budget on the 24-year-old. 7. Mats Hummels Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United (Michael Probst/AP) Another long-established United link which refuses to go away. Louis van Gaal’s defence needs a revamp and the Germany international would be the prime contender around which to build a back four.
