Gaffer Gray wants to buy players

Gray has rarely been able to spend money on transfers during his tenure at Sixfields and has instead relied on loan signings - which while offering a short-term boost have not boosted the club's coffers. He said: "If you haven't got money to go out and buy players then you're limited. But what we've done here is given players the opportunity to come here and play some football."Alex Pearce came in and did really well, Daniel Jones did the same thing, and what it does is it puts these boys in the shop window."In an ideal scenario you'd be in a position to sign these players and then make a profit on them yourself. But it's all about the development, isn't it?"We keep talking about what this club needs and we need the ability to be able to invest in our own players."
