Stimson happy with battling Gills

Gills' Adam Miller cancelled out David McCracken's opener in the 20th minute but things looked to be going wrong for the home side when striker Dennis Oli received a second yellow card for a late challenge on Dean Lewington. The visitors rubbed salt in to Gillingham's wounds in first-half stoppage time as Jermaine Easter slotted home but the hosts equalised against the odds through Andy Barcham midway through the second half as the game finished 2-2."I'm really pleased, it was going to be a test for us, even with 11 against a good MK Dons side," said Stimson. "We needed something from the game so to get zero would have been a massive disappointment so to get one point was OK."On Oli's red card, Stimson added: "To lose a player who's really on form to from what I've seen was a bit of an indifferent decision was tough. I think it was a harsh sending off and Dennis is distraught because he's just got himself into a bit of form."It was very slippery for the second decision and sometimes you wish the referee might take that into consideration."
