The 31-year-old has struggled to resurrect his playing career since a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 2002 but could now feature for the reserves against Rotherham on Wednesday night."We know Matt through a mutual friend of ours - he is looking at getting back involved in football again," Clarke told the club's official website"He has only been training with us for a couple of days but he wants to start enjoying himself and get playing again and he needed some sort of platform to do that."We have given him that opportunity, but there is no pressure on either side. He has come in, is enjoying himself in training and will have a little run-out in the reserve game."We're happy to help him progress as he tries to get back into football, but it's too early to say what will happen. We're having a look at each other and we will take things from there."
