How the victorious Norwich City players ranked in the play-off final

Norwich are back in the Premier League after just one season in the Championship, but who were the standout players in the Wembley showdown? John Ruddy – 6 (Stephen Pond/EMPICS Sport) One-time England keeper did what little he had to do well, including one decent stop to deny Bamford a goal. Russell Martin – 6 (Nick Potts/PA) Skipper was solid at the back but missed a decent chance to wrap things up when he headed over in the second half. Jonny Howson – 7 (Nick Potts/PA) Broke up the play well, provided the midfield link with Redmond and Jerome in the first half. Booked. Steven Whittaker – 7 (Mike Egerton/PA) Superb ball to Redmond for second goal. Dependable at the back and his runs forward kept Friend occupied. Sebastien Bassong – 7 (Nick Potts/PA) Lackadaisical clearance almost gifted Vossen an opening goal. But got his head to everything after that. Martin Olsson – 7 Martin Olsson (right) with Cameron Jerome (left) and Nathan Redmond (Nick Potts/PA) A constant thorn in Whitehead’s side throughout the first half. Tracked back to keep Adomah at bay as well. Alexander Tettey – 7 Tettey, right (Nick Potts/PA) No-frills from the Norwegian. Sat in front of the back four and kept Vossen and Kike as quiet as possible. Wes Hoolahan – 7 (Nick Potts/PA) Ran himself into the ground as usual. Clever pass out wide set up Whittaker to supply Redmond’s goal. Bradley Johnson – 7 (Stephen Pond/EMPICS Sport) Busy midfielder hit the crossbar early on. His short burst forward also played a major role in Redmond’s strike. Nathan Redmond – 8 (Mike Egerton/PA) Fine display from the England Under-21 man, capped by finishing off City’s 17-pass move for the crucial second goal. Cameron Jerome – 8 (Mike Egerton/PA) Showed strength to steal the ball from Ayala and then composure to beat Konstantopoulos for the opener. Substitutes (Nick Potts/PA) Lewis Grabban (Jerome, 74) Forward came up with a vital block on the goal-line to deny Ayala. Rating: 6 Graham Dorrans (Hoolahan, 74) Settled the midfield as Norwich saw out the game. Rating: 6 Gary O’Neil (Redmond, 86) Came on with time running down. Rating: 5
