Thordarson hails vital victory

Anthony Kay's seventh goal of the season seemed to have wrapped up the points for the visitors and ended their run of nine away games without victory. But when Ian Goodison was stretchered off in the second half, Rovers' defence lost the plot as Mark Carrington and Joel Grant scored to fire Crewe to victory.Thordarson said: "It's very important for us to be off the bottom of the table. It means the players can see that the hard work they are putting in is paying off."I believe we will get out of the relegation zone and we only need a couple more wins to be out of it."It was tight at times but I think we deserved to win it. We made a couple of changes that seemed to pay off but I've got to give my players the credit for the commitment they showed."
