Midfielder's loan deal in doubt

After enjoying a successful trial period, the Pakistan international looked set to pen a one-month contract with the League Two club on Thursday with a mystery sponsor believed to be paying the midfielder's wages. However, chairman Bill Bratt has revealed Rovers are now keen for the 24-year-old to remain at Vale Park for a three-month period - something that has thrown a spanner in the works due to the club's tight finances.Bratt told The Sentinel: "We asked for Adnan to come on a one-month deal but Tranmere now want him to come for three months and he hasn't signed yet."It's the same with every signing in that we are trying to stick to our set budget."At the moment I'm not confident he will sign, although we may be able to reach a compromise. For instance, if they were willing to pay for half his wages then we would have the money to do that."
