Arsenal V West Brom at Emirates Stadium : Match Preview

Arsenal V West Brom - view commentary, squad, and statistics of the game live.Pressure off, Wenger wants goalsArsene Wenger hopes Arsenal can enjoy their final match of the Barclays Premier League season against West Brom and get back on the goal trail at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are all but sure of third place, starting the final weekend three points ahead of Manchester United and with a superior goal difference. With the cushion of automatic qualification for the Champions a formality, Arsenal will for the first time in several campaigns be able to head into the closing weekend without the added pressure of the battle to get into the top four.Nevertheless, there have been few vintage displays from the Gunners in recent weeks. Wednesday night's 0-0 draw against Sunderland, who made sure of their own top-flight status with a point, was the third successive home match in which Arsenal have failed to find the net.Wenger, though, sees no genuine cause for concern as attentions start to switch to next weekend's FA Cup final against Aston Villa at Wembley."It is unusual for us. If you look at the games, we had the chances to score in every single game," he said."What we want to do is to continue to play our game, but better, quicker, with more movement and then we will score again."The finishing is in cycles and we have gone through a cycle that is a bit less positive."However, before we scored goals for fun and I am sure if we just concentrate on the quality of our game that we will score again."Wenger added: "We want to finish on a high at the Emirates and we want our fans to go home happy, full of hope for next season."West Brom head coach Tony Pulis insists his players must take all the credit for their successful survival bid.The Baggies go into the final game 10 points clear of the relegation zone.Pulis took over in January with the team just a point ahead of the bottom three and having won just once in their previous nine games. He has continued his record of never being relegated, but the Albion boss believes the squad are the ones who deserve praise."To come into a football club with nine games (with only one win), a point away from dropping into the bottom three and to not have the time we have had previously, it's brilliant," he said."The stand-out thing is the players have responded to what we've tried to do. It's been different at Stoke, Crystal Palace and here."You have to manage the players you have and luckily we have struck on a formula where we have managed to get enough points to be safe and the players have to take credit for that."Albion could be sold this summer, with groups conducting due diligence on the club.Pulis wants to change certain aspects of the club, but does not expect to get it all his own way.He said: "I think the chairman and directors keep the club going. They have the right to say yes or no to anything I want. It was the same at Stoke - I didn't always get what I wanted. If he (chairman Peter Coates) thought it wasn't right, he'd said no."The closer you work together and closer you are on that line, the better you can be."The Baggies beat champions Chelsea 3-0 on Monday, with Saido Berahino taking his tally for the season to 20, and he is expected to lead the line at the Emirates with Pulis set to name an unchanged squad. He added: "It's always nice to let the supporters have a good summer and they will now. They can travel down to the Emirates, Arsenal are one of the best clubs in the world, and it's a wonderful venue and hopefully we'll go and have a good game."
