North End boss wants consistency

North End climbed to fourth in the Championship after beating Norwich 1-0 at the weekend to further enhance their promotion credentials.Irvine, who has many admirers since being appointed at Deepdale in November 2007, insists his men must not allow their standards to slip."We know we'll have to work really hard to stay where we are now," Irvine said."As long as we turn up and do our jobs on the day, we know that we're capable of competing with anyone, anywhere in this division."We also know that if we're a little bit below that we'll struggle, so we really do have to do it game by game, bit by bit."
