Larsson committed to Blues cause

While on international duty with Sweden, the midfielder was quoted in a newspaper in his homeland as saying: "It's obvious I will want to leave (if Blues aren't promoted). It's obvious that you don't want to play a second consecutive year in the Championship."Manager Alex McLeish later came out in support of his player saying he shares his ambition. But Larsson himself is keen to stress his words were misquoted."I don't know what has been said over here apart from probably not exactly what I said to the Swedish newspaper, which happens quite often," the 23-year-old told the Birmingham Mail. "As I said before, if people want to start speculation there's not much I can do about it and I'm not going to let that affect me again like it did early on in the season."I suppose from the little things I've heard it sounds a bit misconstrued and it's not exactly the words I said. This stuff happens, it's nothing to worry about, I'm totally committed to the club and doing everything I can to get my form back to my best and help us out."There's not that long to go now so I really have to try to focus on that. I don't even know what's been said over here. But what I said was that I want to be in the Premier League next year like everyone else, like all my team-mates. The best way to make sure of that is to make sure Birmingham get promoted - that's my goal, there's nothing else on my mind."
