Coulson has featured just three times this season after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in training at the end of last year. The injury means the 20-year-old - who is in the last year of his contract at Oakwell - will play no further part this season but Coulson remains positive after the assurances by Davey."I had an operation last week and am still fairly sore but hopefully it has gone well and I can begin my rehab," he told the Scarborough Evening News."It has been a massive blow but I spoke to the manager Simon Davey and he has said there will be a new contract for me on the table."That is very positive for me and has made me feel much more confident about my future at the football club. The club have treated me well so I am grateful and I just want to thank them by getting back out there and playing some football."
