With the country's road network plagued by snow and ice, Laws decided not to call his team to Middlewood for an afternoon training session. He told the Sheffield Star: "Each player had been given a training belt and a heart monitor to do a work-out at home or near where they live."The monitor records the intensity and length of the work-out, and each player has his own programme."They hand the heart monitors in when they come back to work; anybody who hasn't done what they've been asked to do gets fined."But that's just a back-up mechanism. I trust the players."
