Hart focused on results

Portsmouth caretaker boss Paul Hart is concentrating on getting results for the club, not becoming Tony Adams' successor. Adams was sacked by Portsmouth last week less than four months into a two-and-a-half-year contract following a string of poor results.Hart has stepped into the breach on a temporary basis, and led the team to victory last weekend courtesy of a 2-0 win over Manchester City. The former Nottingham Forest boss has been tipped by some to secure the job at least until the end of the season, although the 55-year-old is not letting the rumours interfere with his work.Game-to-game"I'm still working game-to-game," he told Sky Sports News. "I've enjoyed it immensely."We all have, but it helps when you win. In adversity, that's the test really."I'm trying not to allow myself to think about [landing the job permanently]. I'm doing two jobs at the minute."I'm still keeping in contact with the academy stuff and that's a lot to deal with. "I'm just trying to get a result on Saturday and keep focused."MeetingIt had been thought Hart's situation may have been clarified after he met with owner Alexandre Gaydamak and executive chairman Peter Storrie. However, Hart says there was nothing finalised in the meeting and that it was just a chance for the trio to catch up on recent events."We've been talking about the game, the training and the players' responses really," he continued."It's the first time I've seen Mr Gaydamak since we started. So that was probably the norm to have a chat."I'm used to seeing Peter on a daily basis. It's not unusual for me to be speaking to Peter."[Gaydamak] rang me after the game. He was obviously delighted with the result, as we all were."He thanked me for stepping in. There was nothing more than that."
