Arteta - Spirit the key

Mikel Arteta believes Everton's success is down to a combination of team spirit and top-class quality. The Toffees have always been known as a family club and on the pitch the players adopt a similar ethos.Arteta believes the team's harmony has been demonstrated by loan signing Jo's warm welcoming to Goodison Park.Jo struggled to impress at City, but netted twice on his Everton debut after being welcomed in David Moyes' side with open arms. The Spanish wizard, who is targeting winning the FA Cup this term, thinks their team spirit enhances the abundance of quality at the club.Warm welcome"When a new player comes in, then he is made to feel part of the whole thing," explained Arteta."That's what happened with Jo. The lads made a fuss of him and made him realise what he was part of, and he responded."You can't get by on spirit alone, and we don't because there is great talent too."We are in the last eight of the cup and we feel we can go further. We really want to win it."
