Baby dilemma for Robinson

Paul Robinson could miss West Brom's crunch trip to Fulham this weekend as he awaits the birth of his child. The uncompromising full-back is set to become a father for the third time any day now and accepts that he may be forced to miss Sunday's visit to the capital.Robinson is on constant stand-by at present, ready to rush to his wife's bedside whenever the call comes.He accepts that could happen at any time, and will take the precaution of leaving a mobile phone with the club's coaching staff should he make it onto the field at Craven Cottage."We're hoping the baby is going to be here before the weekend but if not then I'll have to have my car driven down just in case," Robinson told the Express and Star."Our parents will be coming up to look after Caroline. But if anything happens I might be shooting up the M40."Easy decisionRobinson was forced to pull out of West Brom's training vacation in Spain this week, but admits that he had no choice but to remain at The Hawthorns and be put through his paces on his own."I wanted to stay with my family and I simply didn't want to leave my wife at this time," he said."I can come into the training ground this week and carry on with my training knowing I'm closer to her."The best thing is seeing the birth of your child so it was a decision that wasn't hard to make."
