Latics to land Korean

Wigan Athletic are set to capture South Korean international Cho Won-hee subject to the player obtaining a work permit. According to reports in the Far East, the 25-year-old has agreed terms with the Premier League side and will put pen-to-paper on a one-and-a-half year deal in the coming days.Wigan manager Steve Bruce had taken Cho on trial at the end of last week and was impressed by the player's versatility and work-rate.The midfielder, who came close to signing for Monaco last month, is available on a free transfer after his contract with K-League outfit Suwon Bluewings expired at the end of December.Should the deal go through early next week, Cho could be in line to make his debut against Chelsea on 28th February.
