Young gun Parrett poised to make his Tottenham debut in Ukraine

In at the deep end: Parrett could get a run Tottenham youngster Dean Parrett is poised to make a surprise debut against Shakhtar Donetsk tomorrow. The 17-year-old midfielder, who was signed from Queens Park Rangers for £1million in January 2007 when he was only 15, has been training with the first team since the arrival of manager Harry Redknapp last October. Parrett featured in the squad for Spurs' last UEFA Cup game, a 2-2 draw with Spartak Moscow in December, but he was left on the bench after Redknapp's side went 2-0 down early on in the match. But the youngster will travel to Ukraine for the first leg of the last-32 tie.
