EC Nijmegen coach Mario Been has demoted Rachid Bouaouzan to the reserves after repeated breaches of club discipline. Bouaouzan, who is with the Eredivisie outfit on a season-long loan from Premier League side Wigan, has also been fined for his actions. After moving to Holland from the JJB Stadium at the start of the season, Bouaouzan impressed enough to secure first-team action. But after being substituted five minutes before half-time in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Heerenveen the winger failed to appear in the dressing room after the game.He was fined for this indiscretion before further problems occurred during a team meeting and training as NEC prepared for their Uefa Cup clash with Hamburg. As a result, Been has told the former Sparta Rotterdam player that he will not be involved with the first-team again until further notice.Bouaouzan, who was signed by Wigan during Chris Hutchings' brief spell at the helm, has made just one substitute appearance during his JJB Stadium career.
