Hutchings: Southend worthy winners

Franck Moussa opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Saddlers centre-back Clayton McDonald was sent off following an ugly challenge on Anthony Grant.Six minutes into the second half, Moussa crossed for Scott Spencer to head home from close range and man-of-the-match Moussa completed the scoring in the 89th minute when he powered home a header.Hutchings conceded: "Southend deserved to win. They are fighting for their lives and it showed."We just didn't perform. It was always going to be difficult with 10 men but even before then we were off the pace."The Walsall boss also had no complaints about McDonald's sending off, admitting: "It was a bad tackle. It's as simple as that."
