Joe Cole: no Chelsea contract offer on the table

The 28-year-old's current deal expires in the summer at which point he could leave Stamford Bridge on a free transfer. We can't seem to find common ground and it's distracting. At the moment there is no offer on the table, so I know where I stand. "I still hope to talk in the summer." Cole has missed much of the season with a serious knee injury and has struggled to force his way into Carlo Ancelotti's team since returning. The Italian coach recently said he was "100 per cent certain" Cole would still be at the club next season.
