Clement eyes early comeback

West Bromwich Albion defender Neil Clement is optimistic that he could return to action before the end of the season. Clement is currently sidelined after undergoing knee surgery, and early indications suggested he would miss the remainder of the campaign. However, the 30-year-old has resumed jogging as part of his rehabilitation and is hopeful of making his comeback ahead of schedule. He said: "It is a big landmark I have reached in the last couple of couple days by able to do some jogging. I'm working hard in the gym and I am happy with the way things are progressing.Realistic"It is a slow process but I have done everything right. It's February now and I am looking two months down the line."That would only leave a month of the season to go but that would still be fine if I could make it."It happened last season when I managed to get back from the problem in the other knee and we got promoted."It would be nice to come back this season and do the same and for West Brom stay up but we will see what happens."It's true I would like to play again this season but I don't want to get my hopes up too much because then I'd be devastated if I don't get back."
